Random Must Haves If You’re Traveling With Kids

Moms are planners. We have to be. Especially when it comes to going on vacation with the kids. Packing for any and every possible scenario feels like it’s necessary, but it’s truly not needed in the long run.

Here’s a small roundup of random items/tips I found were super helpful on our vacation!

REUSABLE SANDWICH BAGS

They’re good for the environment, and so convenient! I brought snacks in the car and premade little “snack packs” by stuffing the reusable bags with different snacks. Give each kid a snack bag and BOOM no more turning around to hand out different snacks whenever they ask for it.

BACK UP OUTFIT FOR EACH DAY

Yes. Two outfits per day. You can get away with this if you have on-site laundry, but it all depends where you’re staying. I never want to risk my kid having an accident, or get messy while playing, and not have an extra outfit to change them into.

PORTABLE FAN

Mini portable fans are perfect for vacations in warmer weather, and it’s useful for both you and your kids! Amazon has tons of options to choose from, but I like the battery free kind.

MINI FIRST AID KIT

You never know when an accident will happen, and with kids in a new place, accidents are pretty much inevitable. I ordered a first aid kit on Amazon for $20 and it was loaded with everything I could possibly need.

With a little planning and the right essentials, your family trip can be both relaxing and enjoyable!
