🌸what helps you with anxiety?
Managing anxiety can be challenging, but incorporating a combination of physical and mindful techniques can significantly improve how you feel. From my personal experience, using TIPPs (Temperature, Intense exercise, Paced breathing, Progressive muscle relaxation) has been a game-changer in calming anxiety attacks quickly. Cold therapy, such as splashing cold water on your face or holding ice cubes in your hands, might sound simple, but it triggers the body's natural dive response that slows your heart rate and eases panic symptoms. One of my favorite tricks is freezing a wet towel, then squeezing it to warm it up again—this sensory play really distracts and grounds me. Intense physical activities like sprinting, jumping jacks, or even following energetic TikTok dance routines help burn off anxious energy and release endorphins. If high-impact exercise isn't your style, try brisk hiking or martial arts for a mix of focus and cardio. Breathwork is incredibly effective. Techniques like the 4-7-8 breathing method or box breathing help regulate your nervous system. Practicing inhaling for 4 seconds, holding your breath, and then slowly exhaling helps activate your parasympathetic nervous system, which promotes relaxation. Lastly, progressive muscle relaxation—tensing and then relaxing muscle groups—can create a deep sense of calm when done regularly. Sitting comfortably and focusing on the contrast between tension and release helps identify and reduce built-up stress. Incorporating these TIPPs consistently into my daily routine has given me a toolkit to manage anxiety episodes and build long-term resilience. Everyone's responses vary, so trying each method mindfully is key to finding what works best for you.

Omg I’m gonna try this the next time tyyy 🫶🏻
