Bangkok’s nightlife is more than neon lights and rooftop cocktails — there’s a deeper rhythm hidden beneath the surface, and last night I stepped right into the heartbeat of it. Culture Cafe, tucked away in the old town, has become the go-to sanctuary for vinyl lovers, dancers, and anyone who craves something real. No bottle-service attitude, no commercial playlist — just pure underground energy.

I came for Groove Thailand’s takeover, “In Bed with The Vinyl Casanova,” featuring Plazdj (Strictly Vinyl) and VARELA, an international vinyl DJ from Chiang Mai known for Re:charge Events and Night Guide CNX. The moment I walked in, I knew it was going to be one of those nights that hits different.

The room was dim, warm, and wrapped in analog sound. Six hours straight of House, Afro Deep, Acid, Minimal, Tech House, and Techno — all played from wax. No screens. No shortcuts. Just DJs fully locked in, flipping records with intention and building a journey you could feel in your chest.

The crowd moved like a single organism — dancers, vinyl heads, expats, locals, and late-night wanderers all vibing together. Bangkok’s underground scene can be raw and unpredictable, but when it hits right, it feels like you’ve discovered a secret society where everyone speaks the same language: music.

There’s something refreshing about a night with no cover charge, no dress code, and no distractions — just a pure escape into rhythm. Culture Cafe isn’t polished or flashy, but that’s exactly why it works. It’s the kind of place where you walk out sweaty, smiling, and a slightly better version of yourself.

If you want to experience Bangkok beyond the tourist traps, go where the vinyl spins and the bass hugs the room. Nights like this are why the city is still one of the most exciting dance capitals in Asia.

バンコクのナイトライフは、ネオンやルーフトップバーだけでは終わらない。街の“深層”には、もっと生々しくてリアルなリズムが流れている。そして昨夜、その鼓動の中心へ足を踏み入れた。

オールドタウンにひっそりと佇む Culture Cafe は、いまやバイナル好き、ダンサー、そして「本物」を求める人たちの隠れ家。ビンボトルの見せびらかしも、商業的な選曲もない。ただ純粋なアンダーグラウンドの空気が満ちている。

この日のイベントは Groove Thailand presents “In Bed with The Vinyl Casanova”。

出演は Plazdj (Strictly Vinyl) と、チェンマイ拠点で Re:charge Events や Night Guide Chiang Mai を手がける国際派バイナルDJ VARELA。

会場へ一歩入った瞬間から、特別な夜になると直感した。

照明は控えめで、アナログ独特の温かい音が空間を包む。

ジャンルは House、Afro Deep、Acid、Minimal、Tech House、Techno。

すべてレコードオンリーの6時間セット。

スクリーンなし、ショートカットなし。レコードを選び、丁寧に繋ぎ、フロアの空気を読みながら“旅”を作り上げる DJ たちの姿に引き込まれる。

フロアでは、ダンサー、バイナルヘッズ、ローカル、エキスパット、そして夜の旅人たちが、ひとつの波のように揺れていた。
