It’s Ok To Be A Kid Sometimes….
May is Mental Health Awareness Month.
This week my daughter and I passed an empty playground during a walk and decided to swing for a while like we were kids again.
Sounds small, but honestly it reminded me how much adulthood, stress, chronic illness, caregiving, work, and life in general can make us forget simple joy.
We spend so much time being responsible and pushing through that sometimes we forget what it feels like to just laugh, feel free, and be light for a moment.
And weirdly enough… it helped.
Mental health is not always about huge breakthroughs. Sometimes it is reconnecting with the little things that make you feel human again.
Fresh air.
Movement.
Nostalgia.
Laughter.
Connection.
That matters too.
