Replying to @cordelia.jadyn One of the ways we save money $$ each month is by limiting eating out and eating all of our meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) at home. My husband also brings leftovers for lunch each day, so that helps too!
We also switched to grocery pickup when my oldest daughter was born, and it really did cut down our grocery spending. We are now very intentional with everything we are buying each week. It’s nice that the app saves your items too, so it’s easy to add them to your cart each week/bi-weekly for a pickup/delivery order.
How do you do groceries in your family? #momsoftiktok #moneytips #groceryshopping #budgeting
In my experience, shifting to grocery pickup and cooking all meals at home has made a huge difference in controlling our monthly expenses. One thing that really helped was focusing on buying value brands like Walmart Great Value items—they often provide quality products at a lower price. By shopping online, I avoid the temptation of grabbing random items I don’t need, which is a big problem when shopping in person. Another tip I’d recommend is planning your meals around what's already in your pantry and freezer and then creating a shopping list accordingly. This reduces food waste and keeps your grocery bill down. Using the app to save your frequently bought items also saves time and ensures you don't forget essentials. Leftovers are a game changer for lunches or even dinners the next day, saving both money and time. It’s helpful to communicate with family members about the importance of meal planning and sticking to the grocery list. By working together and being intentional with purchases, such as scheduling weekly or bi-weekly grocery pickups, it is much easier to maintain a budget. Overall, combining strategic grocery shopping with home cooking creates both financial savings and healthier eating habits. If your family isn’t already using grocery pickup services or utilizing app features to streamline the process, I highly recommend giving it a try!
