The Monday Blues

Usually, I spend my Sundays preparing for the week ahead, but I decided to jump on the train on a Monday instead. I spent my Sunday mostly watching ER and playing Hogwarts Legacy as well as little chores throughout the house. So my Monday consisted of planning out the week ahead. As a full-time accounts/office manager + owner of her own marketing/website design company, my schedules are pretty busy and the only way to get anything done is if I plan out the week in advance. My weeks consist of going into the office to handle customers, coworkers and technicians, design and schedule posts for social media, write up and schedule block posts and more. On top of that, I have to have my meals planned out in advance or I might as well enjoy take out because I will not have the energy to figure out meals.

The best things I do when I sit down to plan things out: light a soothing candle, have a clean work space, enjoy a SEVA spirulina protein smoothie, and put on a calming soundtrack (typically from a movie). Then the work just flows to me.

... Read moreMondays can often feel overwhelming, leading many to experience what is known as the Monday blues. However, with the right planning and mindset, it’s possible to turn this day into a productive start to the week. Effective time management is key, especially for busy professionals. Start by dedicating time on Sundays to outline your goals for the week, which includes personal and professional tasks. A clean workspace can greatly enhance focus, encouraging a proactive mindset. Prioritize tasks by listing them out, focusing on high-impact activities that can drive your objectives forward. Meal prep is also essential as it saves time during the weekday hustle. Prepare easy-to-make recipes that you can store and reheat, ensuring you maintain healthy eating habits amidst a busy schedule. For a quick nutritional boost, adding spirulina to your smoothies can provide necessary vitamins and minerals, enhancing your overall energy levels. Don’t forget about self-care. Setting the mood with calming music or scented candles can create a conducive environment for productivity. This holistic approach not only helps you stay organized but also cultivates a positive mindset as you face the week ahead. Planning effectively makes the week manageable and can reduce stress, showing that how you spend your Mondays can set the tone for the rest of the week.
