“(Galatians 6:2) 2 Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.”
Paul reminds us that the Christian life is not lived in isolation. To “bear one another’s burdens” means to step into the struggles of others with compassion, patience, and practical help. The “law of Christ” is love; love expressed not merely in words but in sacrificial action. When we carry the weight of another’s sorrow, weakness, or trial, we mirror the heart of Jesus, who bore our ultimate burden at the cross.
Think of a farmer carrying a heavy sack of grain. Alone, the load may crush him, but when a neighbor comes alongside, the burden is shared, and the journey becomes possible. In the same way, the church is called to be a community where no one walks alone.
Today, ask the Lord to open your eyes to someone whose burden you can help carry whether through prayer, encouragement, or a simple act of service. In doing so, you are not only easing their load but also fulfilling Christ’s command of love.
