Good morning ☀️
“(Isaiah 61:10) 10 I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, My soul shall be joyful in my God; For He has clothed me with the garments of salvation, He has covered me with the robe of righteousness,
As a bridegroom decks himself with ornaments, And as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.”
Isaiah’s words rise like a song from someone who has finally understood the depth of God’s mercy. He rejoices, not because life is easy, not because circumstances are perfect, but because God has wrapped him in something he could never create for himself.
Isaiah says God has “clothed me with the garments of salvation” and “covered me with the robe of righteousness.” These aren’t garments we sew through effort or moral achievement. They are gifts, placed on us by a God who knows our failures yet chooses to cover us with His beauty.
This is grace: God doesn’t just forgive you, He dresses you in His own righteousness.
He doesn’t just clean you, He adorns you.
He doesn’t just save you, He celebrates you.
What “garments” are you wearing today — shame, fear, striving?
What would it look like to consciously “put on” the joy of salvation?
