Good morning friends ☀️🙏🏻☕️
“(1 Peter 3:18) 18 For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit,”
This verse captures the heart of the gospel in a single sentence. Jesus, the Just One, willingly took the place of the unjust, not out of obligation but out of love. His suffering was not meaningless; it had a purpose: to bring us to God.
We often think of salvation as something abstract, but Peter reminds us that it is deeply personal. Jesus didn’t just remove our sins; He opened the door to relationship, closeness, and reconciliation with the Father.
His death ended the separation. His resurrection began the restoration.
Every time we feel unworthy, distant, or ashamed, this verse calls us back to the truth: Christ suffered once and that once was enough. Nothing more needs to be added. Nothing more can be taken away.
Imagine a long, deep canyon separating two people, one on each side. No bridge, no rope, no way across. One person desperately wants to reach the other, but the gap is impossible to cross.
Then someone arrives and lays down a single, solid, unbreakable bridge, built not with wood or steel, but with their own life. Suddenly, what was impossible becomes possible. The canyon is no longer a barrier.
That is what Christ did. He became the bridge. He closed the gap. He brought us to God.
