“(Luke15:8-10) 8 “Or what woman, having ten silver coins, if she loses one coin, does not light a lamp, sweep the house, and search carefully until she finds it? 9 And when she has found it, she calls her friends and neighbors together, saying, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found the piece which I lost!’ 10 Likewise, I say to you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.”
Jesus paints a vivid picture of God’s relentless pursuit of the lost. Just as the woman searches diligently for her coin, so the Lord seeks out every soul with unwavering love. The joy in heaven over one sinner who repents reminds us of the infinite worth of each person in God’s eyes. No one is too small, too hidden, or too far gone for His redeeming grace.
Imagine misplacing a family heirloom, a ring passed down through generations. You would search every corner until it was found, because its value is immeasurable. That is how God views each soul; priceless, worth every effort, and celebrated when restored.
Let this passage stir your heart to rejoice in God’s saving work. Pray for those who are wandering, and celebrate every time a wayward person comes to repentance. Heaven’s joy becomes our joy when we align our hearts with the Father’s mission.
