“(Colossians 2:6-7) 6 As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, 7 rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving.”
Paul reminds us that receiving Christ is not the end of the journey, it is the beginning. To “walk in Him” means to live daily in His strength and guidance. Being “rooted” speaks of stability; being “built up” speaks of growth. Faith is not stagnant but established through teaching, practice, and trust. And thanksgiving is the overflow of a life firmly grounded in Christ.
Examine your walk; are your daily choices reflecting the Lord you have received? Deepen your roots through Scripture and prayer, so that storms cannot shake you. Let gratitude be the evidence of your faith, showing that Christ is your foundation.
Will you walk rooted in Christ, built up, and overflowing with thanksgiving? As you do, your life becomes a living example of His sustaining grace.
