Hey everyone! If you're like me, constantly looking to elevate your game in Mortal Kombat 9, then mastering Cyrax and Sektor's combos is an absolute must. I’ve spent countless hours in the training room, and I'm super excited to share some reliable, high-damage strings that I've found incredibly effective – especially those awesome Sektor & Cyrax Combos! Let's start with Cyrax. He’s a beast with his bombs and net. For a good basic string to get you started, try B+1, 2, F+2. This is simple and sets up nicely for a bomb drop. If you want to really rack up damage, you need to learn his juggle potential. A solid mid-screen string I use is F+2, 1, 2, Teleport, (dash) 1, 2, Net, Jump Kick, EX Bomb. This one takes practice but can easily hit around 45% damage! For corner pressure, try Jump-in Punch, 1, 2, 2, Net, 1, 2, Teleport, (dash) 1, 2, EX Bomb. This is a fantastic way to close out rounds and can push past 50% if done correctly, often resulting in an impressive 11 HIT combo! The key with Cyrax is timing his net and bombs after launchers. Don't forget his Buzzsaw move for mix-ups! Now, Sektor. The other robotic ninja, and equally devastating once you get his rockets down. His combos often revolve around launching opponents and juggling them with rockets. A basic and effective string is 2, 1, 2, Teleport Uppercut. This is easy to confirm and does decent chip damage. For more advanced players aiming for higher damage, try this: Jump-in Punch, 2, 1, 2, F+2, EX Rocket, (dash) 1, 2, Teleport Uppercut. This juggle can be tricky to time, but when it connects, you're looking at significant health depletion, often in the 45-50% range. In the corner, Sektor becomes even more dangerous. I love using Jump-in Punch, 1, 2, 2, U+4, EX Rocket, Jump Kick, Rocket Punch. This string feels super satisfying to land and can sometimes even push towards that 51% mark with the right timing and meter burn. The trick with Sektor is using his Flamethrower to extend combos or his Pulse Blade for quick pressure. A tip I've learned for both characters: practice your dash cancels! Many of their longer, higher-damage combos rely on a quick dash after a teleport or a launcher to keep the opponent in the air or close enough to continue the string. Also, pay attention to 'EX' special moves; they often provide armor or more hits, opening up combo possibilities that regular versions don't. Experiment with different jump-in attacks to see how they impact your combo starters. Every little bit helps in getting that perfect 11 HIT combo!
