Jesus was in the room.
The day you heard the words, "You have cancer," it may have felt like the ground disappeared beneath your feet.
The fear.
The questions.
The tears.
The uncertainty.
But there was one thing that never changed:
Jesus was in the room.
He wasn't surprised by your diagnosis.
He didn't walk away when the doctor spoke.
He saw every tear before it fell, and He promised to never leave nor forsake you.
If you're in the middle of treatment, waiting for results, grieving, or simply trying to find the strength for another day, this is your reminder:
You are not fighting alone.
Cancer may have entered your story, but it does not get the final word. Jesus does.
"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." Psalm 46:1

Facing a cancer diagnosis is overwhelming, and the emotional toll can be as challenging as the physical fight. From my personal experience, acknowledging that Jesus is present during these difficult moments has brought me profound peace and resilience. Many scriptures resonate deeply during this time, like Psalm 34:18, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted," and Isaiah 43:2, "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you." These verses remind us that God's presence is constant, even in the darkest valleys. Throughout treatment, you may encounter days filled with fear and uncertainty, but there will also be moments of unexpected peace and reminders of divine love. It has helped me to lean not on my own strength but on the grace that is sufficient, as stated in 2 Corinthians 12:9, "My power is made perfect in weakness." Remember, Jesus does not ask you to be strong on your own; He offers His strength. Holding onto this truth can transform the cancer journey from one of solitude to one filled with companionship and hope. Sharing your experience and faith can also inspire others facing similar battles, creating a supportive community where no one has to feel alone. Whether you are waiting for test results, enduring treatment, or grieving losses, this shared faith can be your refuge and strength. In essence, cancer may be part of your story, but it does not define your journey’s end—Jesus does. Let this hope empower you each day to keep believing and moving forward.
