🌸ITS TUESDAY!!🌸
…& it’s sunny 😎!!! Yesss!! There’s a lot of sun time to be had because of summer coming soon & the one thing that comes to mind is “SUNSCREEN”!!! Please wear sunscreen always, always, always!!!!!! My previous boyfriend passed away in 2021 due to skin cancer…he found out only a year before & had many surgeries to remove cancer spots & it had spread so fast to his lungs, lymph nodes & the brain…& it could have been prevented!!! We need the sun but only a few minutes a day when you are able to go out and soak up the rays…so please be careful!!!
Sooo have a terrific Tuesday & remember to shine because everyone has that sparkle!!!✨ 🩷🩷🩷
Growing up, I never fully appreciated the dangers of sun exposure until a close friend was diagnosed with skin cancer. Like the author shared, the sun is both essential and potentially harmful. It’s important to balance soaking up vitamin D with protecting your skin. Personally, I've found that choosing the right sunscreen is key. I look for broad-spectrum formulas with at least SPF 30, which protect against both UVA and UVB rays. Reapplying every two hours, especially if you're sweating or swimming, is crucial. Additionally, wearing hats, sunglasses, and seeking shade during peak sun hours can greatly reduce risk. One thing that really motivated me was learning how skin cancer can develop silently and spread quickly, similar to the author’s experience with their late partner. Detecting early warning signs, like new or changing moles, and visiting a dermatologist regularly can save lives. With summer approaching, enjoying the sun responsibly can improve your mood and health. Just a few minutes of sun daily is enough for vitamin D synthesis without causing harm, but long exposure without protection increases cancer risks. Prioritizing sun safety is an act of self-love and care, empowering you to shine brightly and confidently every day.
