🍋 INTRO POST, HELLO LEMON8 🍋
Okay, so it is already March—how? And really how are there are only a few days left before spring?
Anyway, with all of the new faces around here, I figured I should squeeze in an introduction, so here it is!
I'm Heather, and with the help of my husband, we are raising our feisty daughter, and growing our 10 acre farm here in the North Cascades of the PNW.
I'm an introvert and an empath, so maybe that's why this whole farming thing has always been so appealing to me; it provides me with plenty of ways to keep my mind, and hands busy, all within the comfort of my own, quiet space.
Currently keeping me busy is our spring preparation—which includes trimming dozens of trees, cleaning out animal pens, as well as the daily care of dozens of chickens, a pig, geese, ducks, two geriatric horses, and of course, our child.
You’ll probably see me posting about healthy mindset, farm life, gardening/plants, PTSD coping, and debt-free living. Plus, the importance of getting outside and connecting with nature as I share our journey of building our off-grid cabin on 40 acres in the mountains.
Here are some random, non-homestead related facts about me:
∆ I de-stress by wandering
∆ We are debt-free
∆ Enneagram 5 w 6 | INFJ
∆ I am a HELLP survivor (Google it)
∆ I am obsessed with houseplants. I have over 100.
I love the friendships and real-life connections made here.
