my salvation testimony <3
I am so happy that I found Christ. Living in a home where religion was all that I knew, KNOWING Him was such a refreshment. It’s like all of my worries melted away. No more perfection- I could come to Him as I was:) #savedbyhisgrace #salvation #saved by his grace #savedbygracethroughfaith #Jesuslovesyou #evelynndemastus #testimony #testimonyoffaith #saved
My journey to faith has been incredibly personal, moving beyond just 'religion' to a true relationship with Christ. Growing up, my home was centered around Christian values, and I was even 'saved' at a young age, around six years old. I served faithfully in church, diligently reading the Bible and praying, believing this was what it meant to follow Jesus. It felt like religion was all I knew – a set of rules and practices to adhere to. For many years, I thought I understood what it meant to be a Christian. I went through the motions, trying my best to be 'good' and striving for perfection. But despite all my efforts and faithful service, I always felt like something was missing. There was a nagging emptiness, a sense that I hadn't truly experienced a 'moment of pure release' that others spoke of, even after hearing powerful sermons. I realized that my actions often stemmed from a desire to impress others or meet expectations, rather than a genuine, heartfelt connection. This realization sparked a deeper hunger within me. I started talking to friends, texting them about salvation and asking about their personal testimonies regarding a relationship with God. I poured out my heart in prayer, begging God for understanding. I prayed for forgiveness, not just for my mistakes, but for the blindness with which I had followed religion, focusing on rituals instead of a living, breathing connection. And then, it happened. The moment I finally found Christ, truly knew Him, it was unlike anything I had ever experienced. It wasn't about striving for perfection anymore; it was about coming to Him exactly as I was, flaws and all. It was such a refreshment, an overwhelming sense of peace and acceptance. All of my worries, the pressure to perform, the fear of not being good enough – they just melted away. That's when I understood what a true salvation experience felt like. This wasn't just a fleeting feeling; it was a life-changing transformation. My motivations completely shifted. My actions now stem from a genuine desire to grow closer to Jesus, to honor Him, and to live a life that reflects His love, rather than trying to impress the world or earn favor. It's no longer a burden or a list of obligations; it's a joyful journey of discovery and growth. This relationship has brought an inner peace and freedom that I never thought possible, and I am so incredibly happy to have found it.
