I’m gonna go cry now
Watching a baby grow, especially in the first few months, can be an incredibly emotional experience. Even though a 3-month-old infant might not change drastically in appearance, the subtle shifts in their behavior, expressions, and interactions can feel profound. From my own experience, those early months were a rollercoaster of emotions—joy, wonder, and sometimes nostalgia for how small and fragile they once were. I remember noticing little things, like slight changes in their smile or how they started responding to voices and touch. These small milestones, although easy to overlook, build the foundation for lifelong growth and attachment. Sometimes, realizing how quickly time passes and that these moments are fleeting can lead to unexpected waves of emotion, like wanting to cry simply because of love and awe. It’s important to cherish this phase and not rush it. Whether it’s their first laugh or just the way they turn their head, these moments hold tremendous value. For many, sharing these feelings openly, even the tears, is part of embracing the beautiful journey of parenthood or caregiving.
