Protein is not just about muscle building—it's vital for repairing and maintaining other tissues like skin and hair. Collagen, a key protein, supports skin elasticity and hair strength, so inadequate intake can lead to visible weakening, dryness, and hair thinning. In my experience, balancing diet with sufficient protein helped me maintain my physical performance and appearance during weight loss. I included eggs, lean meats, legumes, and dairy to meet my protein needs. It also boosted my recovery after workouts and improved my overall energy. This journey taught me that dieting is not just about losing weight but nourishing the body appropriately. If you're on a diet, make sure your protein intake is adequate to keep your muscles, skin, and hair healthy—because your body truly depends on it.
