Seasonal Depression has been hitting me lately

The gray gloomy weather has been making me feel stagnant and gets me all up in my head. Things have been triggering me, the past has been revisiting me, my body and spirit is drained of energy. Its triggering my #bpd , heightening my intensity. I want to go off-grid, go on a verbal detox, be out of sight from everybody. My misery does not love company, I do not like to be around people when I know my energy is low vibrational. Yet my higher-self is prompting me to reach out to my people, to come out my shell and touch nature, im also craving to go grocery shopping at the local farm. I am splitting; a huge symptom of being a Borderline. The constant push and pull on myself gets hard to handle at times, and it makes me doubt my progress in the healing journey.

Here’s what I been doing to cope:

🌱 Watching my comfort shows/ childhood movies

🌱 Eating soulful foods

🌱 Drinking tea

🌱 Pampering myself

🌱 Reorganizing my digital planner

Sometimes the small things creates a difference more than the big steps..

Knowing it’ll get better and the sun comes to shine again brings me hope. Knowing God’s got my back makes me hold on tighter.

Anyone else here has #borderlinepersonalitydisorder ? Lets talk bout coping mechanisms , and how are yall feelin during these times?

... Read moreSeasonal depression, also known as Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), affects many individuals during the darker months of the year. It's crucial to recognize the signs and seek support. Some effective coping mechanisms include engaging in physical activity, which boosts endorphins, or practicing mindfulness through meditation and yoga. Surrounding yourself with bright indoor lighting and spending time outdoors, even on cloudy days, can also help lift your mood. Nutrition plays a key role in mental health; consider including vitamin D-rich foods or supplements if sunlight exposure is limited. Connecting with friends or support groups can alleviate the feelings of isolation that often accompany seasonal depression. Sharing experiences and strategies for managing feelings can provide comfort and encouragement. Remember, you are not alone in this journey; seeking professional help can also lead to improved outcomes. Take small steps to reach out and nurture your well-being during these challenging times.
