Everyone loves Chicago during the summer, but I love Chicago in the fall.
✨ Pros:
This place has beautiful scenery and gorgeous skyscrapers.
It’s super walkable and cleaner than most walkable cities in the U.S.
The museums here are gorgeous and are in all day thing, especially the art museums.
The public transport is amazing and comfortable during the day time.
👀 Cons:
Chicago isn’t the safest, there isn’t that many cops out in the Downtown area. It’s best to be out in groups or go home once it begins to get dark.
Certain things like drugstores don’t stay open late, only take online orders.
I would say that the tourist trap restaurants here aren’t incredible. They really are subpar and I would say it’s best to go into somewhere more low key. The price ranges are fairChicago for tourist traps.
Fun fact: After the great fire of Chicago, the first skyscraper was built.
