Grow a HUGE Monstera Thai Constellation

From my experience caring for Monstera Thai Constellations, one of the biggest game changers is replicating their natural rainforest environment. Providing a sturdy moss pole or trellis encourages climbing, which directly signals the plant to develop larger leaves with beautiful fenestrations. I’ve noticed that when my Monstera climbs, the leaf size and quantity grow dramatically compared to when it’s left on its own. Additionally, be mindful about pot size. Initially, I thought a bigger pot would lead to faster growth, but oversized pots often hold too much moisture and reduce oxygen levels around the roots. This causes slower growth and sometimes root rot. Keeping the plant slightly root-bound helped stimulate root health and more vigorous leaf development. Lighting is also critical. It’s important not to skip feeding as producing those large leaves is energy-intensive for the plant. Lastly, I’ve learned not to trim healthy aerial roots. These roots are essential for climbing and nutrient absorption once they touch moist surfaces. Instead of cutting them, I guide them toward the moss pole to help stabilize and nourish the plant.
