3 green things๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ€

Long time no Lemon8! Good evening zesties (tips hat)

I recently reached a new milestone at work, and so I picked up 3 (technically 3.5) things to celebrate hehe

1) Tress of The Emerald Sea

As someone who loves fantasy, I've always wanted to attempt the Cosmere books by Brandon Sanderson, but they're like... massive (and very daunting hahaha). Then I found this book, and the premise was so lovely! I started first with a digital copy on Libby, then I found a physical paperback at Kino Bugis and couldn't leave the store without it. Highly highly recommend.

2) Long run + cycle to ECP

I might have left the house a little too late, because the weather was insane (rule of thumb: the prettier the photo, the warmer the weather), but it was otherwise such a wonderful day. Finally got to try out the route from Gardens by The Bay to ECP Marina Cove, and made it just in time for McBreakfast!

3) Green shoes and socks

The first time I saw these shoes, it was love at first sight. I left without them so I could sleep on the idea, and everyone I asked said the green was impractical - but I couldn't stop thinking about them, and when I went back to the store a second time, I had to bring them home. And so it happens, they go with most things I own (they were calling to me for a reason I guess ๐Ÿคฃ) I serendipitously found these matching socks at Craft Fest this past weekend and omg look how cute they look together.

I try to be very intentional with the stuff I bring into my life, and these have genuinely make me really happy in the past month.

Okie that's all! See yall on the next post ๐Ÿซก๐Ÿค

... Read moreIf you're inspired by green living or mindful spending like me, exploring local treasures can make a real difference. For example, the green shoes I found werenโ€™t just a purchase but a personal statementโ€”choosing items that resonate with you emotionally adds lasting joy. Similarly, outdoor activities like running and cycling from Gardens by The Bay to East Coast Park not only boost physical health but reconnect you with natureโ€™s beauty. On my journey, I found that blending enjoyable experiences and intentional purchases helps cultivate a sustainable lifestyle without sacrificing fun or style. Green living doesnโ€™t have to be limited to eco-products aloneโ€”it can be about embracing anything that feels fresh, natural, or uplifting. For those near Sembawang or Singapore, there are plenty of local events such as craft fairs where you can find unique accessories and surroundings that celebrate green life. Itโ€™s a great way to support local artists while staying true to your mindful values. Reading can also be a form of green relaxation that feeds the mind. Starting with accessible fantasy novels like "Tress of The Emerald Sea" offers gentle immersion into larger universes without overwhelm. Combining books, nature, and thoughtful shopping helped me truly appreciate and celebrate little milestones in life.
