From my own recent trip with my dad, I realized how exploring this beautiful country together creates deep and lasting memories. We visited the serene Oyama Shrine in Kanazawa, which offered a peaceful retreat from bustling city life and a glimpse into traditional Japanese culture. One of the highlights was encountering everyday scenes like the Japanese toilets—high-tech and innovative—and even spotting a unique Money Exchange spot with a Godzilla statue, showcasing Japan’s playful side. Riding the Shinkansen was another thrilling adventure, providing fast and comfortable travel between cities like Fukuoka and Tokyo. Photography played a big role in capturing these moments. Using an old GoPro, I was able to preserve candid shots of my dad reading quietly, emphasizing the peaceful yet dynamic nature of our trip. This journey was not just about sightseeing but about cherishing time with my dad, appreciating Japan’s blend of tradition and modernity. For anyone considering a trip to Japan, I highly recommend embracing both the well-known tourist destinations and the smaller, everyday experiences that give the trip heart and soul. Traveling with loved ones enhances these experiences, making every moment special and memorable.
