💸Shopping for clothes in Ho Chi Minh +review!!🫣

Disclaimer: aunty here, hence the clothes I got are more simple compared to hype streetwear cause I can’t pull off the young girls clothes no more! 😂 I am also trying not to buy fast fashion due to past hoarding problems hence the pieces I got are those I foresee myself wearing often, paired with basics.

💰pricing: if ure looking for cheap clothes, hcm isn’t the cheapest, but I would say their quality is much better than buying from taobao or even bangkok. Def have some new favourite pieces now from this haul!

👗styles: MOST of Vietnam clothing styles is either streetstyle, if not girly

✅ My personal recommendations and preferences:

1. Aufra Studio ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

📍Aufra

- cottage girl next door vibes

- most clothes not cropped (yay for me!)

- most had sizes s-l, some (like the floral skirt) was one size

2. Mieu ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

📍MIỀU - QUẬN 1 - P. NGUYỄN CƯ TRINH

- similar to Aufra, had many clothes at home that were similar to their pieces hence didn’t get a lot from here

- mostly sizes s-l

3. Eighteen Again ⭐️⭐️⭐️

📍Shop 18Again

- cute weekend outfit pieces, girly

- mostly one size

4. Kido Studiowear ⭐️⭐️⭐️

📍KIDO FLAGSHIP STORE

- street style, girly vibes, basic pieces

- honestly this shop had all types of clothing for different styles

- pants mostly very baggy & hype cutting

- sizing for s-l

5. The New Playground ⭐️⭐️⭐️

📍The New Playground

- many shops to view in one place with different styles

- they have 2 outlets, both opposite each other - worth a visit

6. The Box Concept ⭐️⭐️

📍The Box Concept

- around 30 shops, mix of girls and guys clothes

- abit like bkk platinum mall, no brand, but bought a floral top here

- worth a visit nonetheless, if ure not looking at local shop brands

———

👌🏻 Stores I visited but didn’t get anything, but could be your style:

1. 📍Cara Club

- the styles are honestly very cool x cute but I really can’t pull off 😂

- corset dresses/tops, baggy jeans, bralet, crop tops

2. 📍Bunnyhill Concept

- I’m sorry there was like 10 pieces of clothing for sale in this shop, there was more sofas than clothes in here, so I was extremely confused at the hype 😭

- I went to see their website hence I think maybe if u wna get stuff from here to view what they have there then maybe place order?

- extreme streetstyle, cool kids vibe, if u can pull this off >>>>> 🫡 u are def a cool kid

3. 📍Rechic

- similar to house of cb pieces

- also p pricey but didnt suit me cause I hardly go to gala dinners

4. 📍Secondee

- don’t rmb much from this shop tbh!!

5. 📍Rubies

- simple pieces, workwear

6. 📍Cheri

- think it was girly cutting

7. 📍Naga Shoes

- the shoes were pretty honestly but with a twist of girly

- prices were ~$15

8. 📍OLV

- long dresses, girly style

9. 📍She by Shj

- there was 2 levels of shops beside this in the whole building, worth to visit n see

- material is thinner imo!! + abit too cropped for me. Hence didn’t get anyt here

🤞🏻Overall - would I visit HCM again? 🤞🏻

I think I would once every few years! I am abit of a blogshop clothing enthusiast + shein for bottoms (somehow their jeans cutting are just 😮‍💨🤟🏻) so I do feel the HCM clothing styles are a nice to have once in awhile.

Thx for reading & hope the guide helps!! 🫶🏻

... Read moreIf you're diving deeper into Ho Chi Minh City's trendy apparel, the Kido Flagship Store is definitely worth your attention. With its versatile mix of street style and girly basics, Kido caters to a range of fashion tastes with mostly sizes S to L, and the pants often sport a relaxed, baggy fit — perfect for those who prefer comfort without sacrificing style. I also highly recommend checking out the 'Clothing Apartment' concept in the city, where a collection of local vendors offer fresh, unique pieces under one roof — similar in spirit to The New Playground mentioned in my haul. It’s great for exploring different designers and finding clothing that supports Vietnamese craftsmanship. For those interested in menswear or unisex looks, Ho Chi Minh has a growing menswear market with stores offering local cuts and fabrics suited to the climate. It’s becoming increasingly easy to find quality apparel without turning to global fast fashion brands. If you’re curious about online shopping options linked to these brands, many have active Instagram or website presences for direct orders, although I personally find seeing and trying on in person much better, especially for fit and fabric feel. When visiting, keep in mind the general price range in HCM may be higher than Bangkok or Taobao, but quality is usually better — making it a smart investment piece for your wardrobe. Lastly, stores like OLV offer lovely long dresses that suit girly style lovers, while places like The Box Concept bring an eclectic mix of male and female fashion, somewhat resembling Bangkok's Platinum Mall experience. Overall, Ho Chi Minh City is worth visiting for fashion enthusiasts who appreciate local styles infused with modern trends. Just remember your style preferences and sizing needs, and enjoy discovering pieces that you can wear repeatedly with confidence.

TBH the tiktok viral shops are not really my vibe and can be quite pricey, they’re more of statement pieces i can’t see myself wearing more than once. District 3 is where it’s truly at with more basics and everyday wear for under S$20. The downside is half the shops are not made for the taller g
