🍜 My favourite stalls in CBD for lunch!! 🤤

As someone who goes office everyday, lunch has got to be my favourite time of the day. A good lunch will really boost your mood for the rest of the day!! 😍

❤️‍🔥 soya sauce chicken noodle

📍 lao pa sat - hua di chicken rice stall

- my go to; I eat this at least twice a week…… totally can have a platinum membership here alr 😮‍💨😮‍💨

❤️‍🔥 YTF (curry broth)

📍Shenton house L2

- I love eating here but the only bad thing is that after 12:30 there won’t be much broths left or at all (they have tomyum, tomato egg, n curry) so must plan an early lunch which is unlike me cuz I like to eat as late as possible for a psychologically shorter second half of the day 😆

❤️‍🔥 banmian / youmian

📍Lao pa sat - qiu lian ban mian

- why is their soup so damn good???? The best of all the banmians I’ve had throughout sg for the price. Soup is thick n flavourful n my go to especially on a sick / cold day

❤️‍🔥 fried fish dumpling horfun

📍amoy L2

- also featuring the fruit juice which I have been drinking ever since I started working FT 5 years ago near amoy!!!!

- sometimes I need to eat smth different n I go for this, the sauce is good n the chilli is 🧚🏻‍♀️🧚🏻‍♀️

❤️‍🔥 sweet & sour fish rice

📍 Lao pa sat - ieat kitchen

- can’t go wrong w this, i tend to alternate between this & my soya sauce chicken noodle hehe …. Got to love zichar in a bowl

❤️‍🔥 chilli banmee

📍 chilli pan me @ Batu road

- usually only go here for slightly fancier lunches w my colleagues e.g. farewell lunch, welcome lunch, catch up sessions

ok that’s it! I eat very repetitive food cause I’m the type that if I know it’s def good & makes me happy, I’ll just eat it again 😂😂

Thx for reading my food raves 😆😆😆

... Read moreHaving a reliable go-to lunch spot in the CBD is a lifesaver, especially with busy workdays. I totally relate to wanting something tasty yet affordable — most of these stalls serve dishes below $30 which suits my budget perfectly. For example, Lao Pa Sat is a classic choice with multiple stalls like Hua Di Chicken Rice offering generous portions and super satisfying flavors. The soya sauce chicken noodle really hits the spot when I need a comforting, fuss-free meal. It’s great for those who want quick service during lunch rush but still crave hometown flavors. Shenton House’s YTF (curry broth) stall is a gem for soup lovers. Although they run out of broth early, planning an early lunch here means you get to enjoy a rich, flavorful soup that’s filling and warms you up — perfect if you like a hearty, lighter afternoon. Don’t overlook Amoy’s fried fish dumpling hor fun paired with a refreshing fruit juice — a great way to switch things up when I’m craving something different but familiar. The chili here adds just the right kick. If you’re looking to treat yourself a bit, Chilli Pan Mee on Batu Road is ideal for casual catch-ups or farewell lunches, blending a slightly upscale vibe with tasty options. Overall, I stick with what I love — repeat visits mean I know I’m getting consistently good food that brightens my workday. Finding affordable, quality lunch options in Singapore CBD is about balancing flavor, price, and convenience, and these stalls do just that. I highly recommend trying them if you work nearby or simply want a fuss-free, delicious lunch experience.
