It’s amazing to see their shoulders drop, a little smile appear, and then, the stories begin. It’s not just a game for them; it’s for me too. I play an active role in creating that environment. It's about genuine empathy. Sometimes it's lighthearted gossip, other times it's deep, personal struggles they might not feel comfortable sharing with anyone else. The power of simply being heard, without fear of criticism or unsolicited opinions, is immense. I've witnessed people leave my salon not just with a fabulous haircut, but with a lighter heart and a sense of relief. We listen and we don't judge isn't just a catchy phrase; it's a philosophy applied to those moments. It's about validating someone's feelings and experiences.
