Glow Up Lip Balm 🌸
Dollar Tree came out with this Dior look alike,
This is the B Pure Glow Up Lip Balm
Now my question is how does this compare to the original? The short answer
It doesn’t ,
It’s not the same formule or the same color but the packaging is just very similar.
Regardless, it’s a hard pass for me.

Okay, so like many of you, I'm always on the hunt for a great beauty steal, especially when it comes to coveted high-end products. When I saw the B Pure Glow Up Lip Balm pop up at Dollar Tree, instantly drawing comparisons to a certain luxury brand (*cough* Dior *cough*), my curiosity was definitely piqued! I mean, who wouldn't want a 'Glow Up Lip Balm' that promises a 'Sheer Moisturizing Formula' for just a dollar? I picked it up with high hopes, ready to see if this budget-friendly balm could actually deliver a similar glow-up experience. Unfortunately, after putting the B Pure Glow Up Lip Balm through its paces, I have to agree with my initial assessment in the main post: it’s a hard pass for me. Let’s dive a bit deeper into why. The original article mentioned it's 'not the same formule,' and I really felt that. While it claims to be a 'Sheer Moisturizing Formula,' I found the texture to be quite thin and almost waxy, rather than the luxurious, melt-into-your-lips feel you expect from a high-end balm or even a really good drugstore alternative. It felt like it sat on top of my lips rather than truly hydrating them, and the moisturizing effect wore off surprisingly quickly, leaving my lips feeling just as dry as before, if not a little stickier. Then there’s the color, or lack thereof. The original also noted it’s 'not the same color.' I was hoping for a subtle, flattering pink tint that would enhance my natural lip color and give that 'glow up' effect. Instead, the B Pure balm applied almost clear with just a hint of what looked like a faded, cool-toned pink. It didn't provide any noticeable boost in radiance or color, which is a key appeal of those popular glow-enhancing lip balms. The 'sheer' part was definitely true, but it was too sheer to make any real impact, and it didn't adapt to my lip chemistry in any unique way. While the packaging does mimic its luxury inspiration quite closely, which I initially found impressive for a Dollar Tree product, the actual product inside just doesn't live up to the visual. It made me realize that when looking for an affordable lip balm, especially one that claims to be a dupe, there are certain non-negotiables. I usually look for a formula that genuinely nourishes and hydrates, feels comfortable on the lips for hours, and offers a flattering, buildable tint. Scent and taste also play a role for me – this one was pretty neutral, which isn't bad, but it lacked any pleasantness. So, what should you look for if you’re trying to find your own budget-friendly 'Glow Up Lip Balm'? My advice is to prioritize ingredients that truly moisturize, like shea butter, hyaluronic acid, or nourishing oils. Pay attention to reviews that describe the texture and longevity. A good sheer moisturizing formula should feel balm-like, not waxy, and keep your lips comfortable for at least a couple of hours. Don't be afraid to swatch colors in-store to see how the tint actually looks on *you*. Sometimes, even if a product isn't a direct dupe, it can still be a fantastic find if it meets your personal needs for hydration and a subtle pop of color. While the B Pure Glow Up Lip Balm didn’t work for me, the hunt for affordable beauty gems continues!
