Unpopular opinion about Grillfest SG
Unpopular opinion? After giving Grillfest a second chance I don’t think I’ll be back anytime soon 😅 sharing my own honest experience!
It was PACKED, I was kinda overstimulated after less than 2 hours. Seating was fine though, just gotta be patient and a spot will open up. Get the seats further in along the beach!
If you go, you have to try Jett Barbecue. Queue was the longest one there but it’s worth it, I had it at another festival before and been thinking about it since.
Also saw so many doggos there which honestly made my day 🐶
Go with a bigger group so you can order more stuff, split the cost and try a wider variety. Be prepared to spend at least $40 per pax if you want to leave full, it’s not cheap. Also noticed a bunch of stalls selling similar things but I mean, fair, there’s only so much you can do at a grill fest.
Best part honestly was the beach section, go around 6pm+ to get a sunset dinner view
We only lasted about 2 hours then drove off elsewhere to grab dinner round 2 😂 if you’re driving, nearest carpark is Beach Station.
After you’re done you can rent bicycles and cycle around the beach. It’s a nice way to wind down!
Lmk if you’ve been! curious what your experience was like 🤍
If you're planning to visit Sentosa Grillfest, here are some tips based on my experience to help you get the most out of it. First, the fest is best enjoyed with a larger group so you can sample a variety of foods without overspending. Splitting costs makes it easier to try more dishes, especially since food prices hover around $40 per person for a full meal. One of the standout food options is definitely from Jett Barbecue. Though the queue is the longest, the wait is worthwhile for their savory, mouth-watering barbecue specials. It’s a crowd favorite, so arriving early could help shorten your wait time. The setting along the beach is truly the highlight. I recommend getting there around 6pm or later to enjoy a lovely sunset view while dining. The seaside breeze adds an extra charm that makes the experience memorable. Plus, after your meal, renting bicycles nearby to cycle beachside is a relaxing way to wind down your evening. Seating can be limited during peak hours, but patience pays off since spots free up fairly quickly. Try to snag a seat deeper along the beach—it's quieter and offers great views. Also, keep in mind the fest can get quite busy, which might be overwhelming if you’re sensitive to crowds or noise. Lastly, parking is easiest at the nearest Beach Station, so if you're driving, plan your arrival and departure times around that. Overall, Sentosa Grillfest offers a festive atmosphere and good grub, but it's best suited for those who don’t mind bustling crowds and are up for a lively night out.
