Aircon Cleaning in Singapore

Over the years, I’ve tried three or four different aircon cleaning companies. Most charge based on the number of units you have, and here’s a rough idea of the common rates:

• General cleaning: $16–$28 per unit

• Chemical cleaning: around $240 per unit

• Compressor cleaning: about $180 per unit

• Gas top-up (R410): around $120

Since my current home is a rental, I decided to go with a company I found on Carousell — they had over 400 five-star reviews and only charged $16 per unit for a general wash. It sounded like a great deal, so I signed a one-year contract with them.

But after a year, I realised their a la carte add-on costs (like replacing rubber tubes) were pricier than others, and the quality of work wasn’t consistent. At one point, they even stuffed tissue paper into a gap they made after cleaning — yes, tissue — until I complained and got them to fix it properly. Their general cleaning was always done in a hurry, and honestly, I couldn’t feel much difference in how cool the aircon was afterward.

On the other hand, I’d really like to recommend 338 Aircon. My neighbours use them, so I decided to give them a try — and I didn’t realise a proper general cleaning could make such a big difference in how cold the aircon feels!

My first trial with them was $75 for 3 units, and subsequent cleanings are $85 for 3 units. They also offer annual packages — 3 units for $280/year — and run different promos every year. You can WhatsApp them to find out more. They’re honestly much more professional and thorough. Non sponsored. Just sharing.

... Read moreWhen considering aircon cleaning services in Singapore, it's important to understand the different types of cleaning available and their typical prices. General cleaning often costs between $16 to $28 per unit, which covers basic dust removal and exterior cleaning. However, for more thorough maintenance like chemical or compressor cleaning, prices are substantially higher—chemical cleaning can be about $240 per unit, while compressor cleaning hovers around $180 per unit. One factor that many might overlook is the quality and professionalism of the service provider. From my experience, cheaper doesn't always mean better. For example, while some companies may charge lower rates, their workmanship might be rushed or with poor attention to detail, which can affect the aircon's cooling efficiency. I encountered issues such as careless handling and add-on charges for minor repairs that drove up the total cost unexpectedly. On the flip side, engaging companies with solid reputations—often backed by positive customer reviews like those found on Carousell or recommendations from neighbors—can lead to superior results. These providers conduct more thorough cleanings that noticeably improve aircon performance and longevity. Commitment to professional standards and transparent pricing usually signals better value in the long run. Additionally, many reputable companies offer package deals or annual subscriptions that can reduce costs if you have multiple units or require regular servicing. Keep an eye out for promotions or discounts communicated via direct messaging platforms like WhatsApp, which also allow quick inquiries and personalized support. Overall, assessing aircon cleaning service options by balancing cost, quality, user reviews, and service guarantees will help you maintain your air conditioning system efficiently and avoid costly repairs. Taking time to research and choose a reliable provider can significantly enhance your cooling experience throughout Singapore’s humid climate.
