For my inner child

Do you feel like you are sending your child to many classes - to stimulate their interest and growth? To see them enjoy and be happy? Was it the society’s pressure or was it something we strive to give them? OUR BEST? Or maybe it was meant for our inner child.

It was just an simple act of decorating my girl’s room. Having a play area for her. It made me so happy.

Sometimes I think back at children who enjoyed extravagant parties - was it for them? Was it because the parents can afford or enjoy it?

Sometimes the choices we make as adults are whispers from the child we once were — asking to be seen, heard, and loved.

✨ 3 Revelations :

1️⃣ We’re trying to give ourselves what we didn’t get

– Whether it’s attention, safety, or encouragement, many of our goals are rooted in filling those old gaps.

2️⃣ Our “extra” is often our old scarcity

– When we overwork, overgive, or overprepare, it’s often to protect the little version of us from feeling the same fear or neglect.

3️⃣ Awareness is the first form of self-love

– The moment we recognise why we do what we do, we get to choose differently — and give our inner child the care they always needed.

💛 the safe, loving home we gave, was what we always wanted.

... Read moreCreating a calm and nurturing environment is essential not only for children but for adults seeking well-being. From my experience, small changes like designing a cozy play area can have profound effects on emotional health. Connecting with our inner child means listening deeply to those childlike needs: safety, encouragement, and love. Practicing mindfulness and gentle activities such as yoga can engage this inner part, fostering relaxation and self-compassion. For instance, dedicating moments each day for calm breathing or reflective journaling helped me reconnect with feelings often forgotten in adult responsibilities. It’s important to recognize that the ‘extra’ effort we pour into parenting or work often stems from unhealed childhood fears or scarcity. By becoming aware of these patterns, we shift from reacting impulsively to making conscious choices that nurture both ourselves and those we care for. Incorporating these concepts into daily life transforms stress into opportunities for growth and healing. Whether through simple home rituals or seeking community support, honoring the inner child supports emotional resilience and happiness. Remember, the loving environment you create externally mirrors the care you cultivate within yourself.

When someone doesn’t hear you, it can awaken a familiar ache — the kind that quietly asks, “Do my feelings matter?” Wanting to be understood is human. Wanting someone to meet you with care is human. And when that doesn’t happen, it can feel discouraging… but it doesn’t make your emotions any le
