Thrift shop yay or nay ?

My dear friend introduced me to this shop at NEW2U - a thrift shop where the proceeds all goes to donation! We made 2 trips there and it’s rather a matter of luck! It could be as adorable as 5 bottoms for $5?!? Wow.

A lovet piece for $3?!

It really depends on your digging skills and luck!

The first trip was fruitful for us but not the 2nd!

Would you try this?

On my first trip, I scored great finds like adorable bottoms and quality pieces for just a few dollars, which made the effort totally worthwhile. However, the second trip was less fruitful, showing how much luck and patience matter when thrifting here. The shop is thoughtfully organized but expect to spend time browsing and digging through racks to discover hidden gems. Since there’s no exchange or refund policy, I always inspect items carefully for wear and fit before buying. This is especially important for thrift shops like New2U where pieces are pre-loved. What I appreciate most is that all proceeds support donations, so shopping here is not just about saving money but also contributing to a good cause. If you enjoy sustainable shopping or finding rare thrift pieces in Singapore, New2U is a promising spot to explore. For better results, I recommend visiting during less busy hours and bringing a friend to help spot the best deals. Also, checking their regular restocks can increase your chances of finding unique items. Have patience, take your time, and you could walk away with vintage treasures at unbeatable prices!

VINTAGE Thrift Shop
Hidden above Haji Lane’s colorful chaos, Takara House feels like a quiet little discovery. After walking through the narrow lane and climbing up a small staircase, I found myself standing in front of a warm, softly lit space part thrift shop, part Japanese-inspired hideout. The hallway smelled
