Teahouse in Mt Austin?

Chanced upon this teahouse cafe in Mt Austin when we were looking for a light dinner on a Sat night! Glanced in and noticed that the concept is akin to camping, there were also normal table and chairs too!

Apart from the many various types of tea selection, there are also tea snacks that can be self-grilled like sweet potato, clementines, marshmallow. I didn’t go the tea experience as I was looking for a light dinner instead, nevertheless I reckon it would be an interesting one.

Their menu was pretty comprehensive, we went for a few courses, from appetiser to mains to dessert and the floral pastry!

Here’s my recommendation of what I’ve tried!

✔️Mushroom & Minced Pork Noodles (RM 16.90)

This is unlike our usual BCM because of the type of noodles used were more of the Chinese thicker noodles type, the minced pork & mushroom complement the noodles without overpowering either.

✔️Cold Glass Noodles Salad (RM 6.90)

A refreshing appetiser that has a good mix of tanghoon, sesame seed, jap cucumber and carrots. I can definitely finish 1 portion by myself!

It’s a pity that I didn’t go for the tea experience, I would definitely revisit to try their tea concept and their claypot ice milk tea which seemed really refreshing and yummy!

📍Address: Cam Tea & Ember Cafe

Located within the Nanyang Street in Mt Austin which the entire area seemed to be newly built with its relatively new infrastructure/paint works. It is also walkable from the famous claypot Lala place that had a really long queue when I passed by previously.

... Read moreIf you're curious about the Tea & Ember Cafe menu, there's more to explore beyond the dishes I tried. The cafe's concept centers around self-grilling snacks like sweet potato, clementines, and marshmallows, which adds a fun, interactive element to your visit. It’s perfect if you want to unwind with something comforting yet different. The tea selection is extensive and thoughtfully curated, designed to pair well with their snacks and meals. The claypot ice milk tea, in particular, has caught many visitors’ eyes for being refreshingly distinct from typical milk teas. For those looking for a light dinner or a café hangout, their appetizers like the Cold Glass Noodles Salad balance flavors and textures excellently. Located on Nanyang Street, Mt Austin, this relatively new café spot offers a fresh vibe amid the growing foodie scene. It’s also conveniently situated near popular eateries, which makes it a great stop for continued cafe hopping or casual dining. I highly recommend trying their floral pastries for dessert—they add a delicate yet flavorful finish to your meal. Next time you visit, consider indulging in the full tea experience, as it seems to be a highlight that embodies the cafe’s unique charm. The mix of warm gatherings, great food, and quality tea makes this a worthwhile spot for both locals and visitors alike.
