For those who don’t know, I’ve been working with an incredible small rescue called Cattyshack, Huntsville (CATTYSHACKHSV). They are a nonprofit, volunteer-run rescue that has been stepping in to help me get my colony of strays spayed and neutered. Without them, I would not have been able to fix as many cats as I already have.

But the truth is—they’re struggling right now. Cattyshack has helped countless cats in North Alabama, taking in abandoned, injured, and neglected kitties, getting them medical care, and working tirelessly to control the stray population through spay/neuter. Like many small rescues, they survive only on donations, and right now funds are dangerously low.

That means they can’t continue to help me unless we come together. Each surgery is $35 per cat, and when you add in gas money and the 2-hour round trip to Huntsville the costs really add up. I had hoped this process would be free, but reality is different—and now we urgently need support.
