David sounds as if he is praying for God to bring harmony and Peace, I feel as though David is talking about the conditions of our Country's/Universe's stability when we are one!!! That oneness can only materialize in the Second Coming, why I am continually getting this from our God I do not know!!! You read this part of David's existence and received the same mindset that I have been hearing, God is telling us what time it is!!! I feel all types of suffering of God’s people, even those who have made the wrong decisions and chose the Messiah there is only one Jesus!!! This time of observance of our Military who did not return home alive, but in a body bag is harder them any other time I can remember!!! But they that are saved or please our Father Who has all the power will see their Love ones again with a loud voice of God!!! Hallelujah!!! Glory to God!!!
PSALMS 144:12 Then our sons in their youth will be like well-nurtured plants,
and our daughters will be like pillar carved to adorn a palace. 13 Our barns will be filled with every kind of provision. Our sheep will increase by thousands, by tens of thousands in our fields;14 our oxen will draw heavy loads. There will be no breaching of walls, no going into captivity, no cry of distress in our streets.
15 Blessed is the people of whom this is true; blessed is the people whose God is the Lord. 💯💯💯💜💜💜🙏🏾🙏🏻🙏🏿

... Read moreLately, I've been spending a lot of time reflecting on peace and what it truly means in our often-turbulent world. It feels like David, in Psalm 144, really captured that longing for harmony, and when I stumbled upon verse 12, it just resonated so deeply with me. 'Our sons in their youth will be like well-nurtured plants, and our daughters will be like pillars carved to adorn a palace.' Just reading that brings such a vivid picture to my mind, a vision of flourishing and strength that we all desire for our families and communities.
I remember when I first really considered what 'well-nurtured plants' implies. It's not just about physical growth, but about spiritual and emotional development, too. It means creating an environment where our young ones can truly thrive, rooted in good values and supported by love. For me, it's about pouring into them, teaching them kindness, resilience, and faith, much like a gardener carefully tends to their saplings. And the idea of our daughters being 'pillars carved to adorn a palace' – wow! That speaks to inner strength, dignity, and a beauty that comes from purpose and character. It's about empowering them to be strong, influential figures, adding grace and stability to their surroundings.
This verse isn't just a beautiful poetic image; it feels like a promise, a blueprint for a blessed future that we can actively work towards. It ties into that broader message of Psalm 144, where David is praying for deliverance and for God's favor, acknowledging that true prosperity comes from the Lord. It’s about building a foundation that can withstand life’s challenges, ensuring there’s 'no breaching of walls, no going into captivity, no cry of distress in our streets,' as the later verses beautifully describe.
When I think about the world today, with all its uncertainties, this scripture offers such a powerful anchor. It encourages me to believe in God's vision for peace and stability, not just for myself, but for generations to come. It’s a reminder that when we align ourselves with God's will, when we prioritize nurturing our families and communities with His principles, we can expect to see incredible blessings. It’s a call to action, to be intentional about how we raise our children, how we support each other, and how we contribute to a more harmonious society.
Reading this verse, and others like Psalm 144:9, which encourages us to 'sing a new song' to God, I feel a renewed sense of hope. It’s a personal invitation to reflect on what kind of legacy we are building. Are we planting seeds of hope and resilience? Are we fostering environments where strength and grace can flourish? For me, embracing this verse means actively praying for and working towards that beautiful vision of well-nurtured children and strong, purposeful individuals. It truly is a blessing to be 'the people whose God is the Lord,' and this verse paints such a clear picture of what that blessing can look like in our everyday lives.
