PRAY PERSISTENTLY!!! LUKE 18

We have to find the way to show the Lord our God, the importance of the things we come to Him in prayer, by our persistence!!! It is wonderfully important to let God understand how important our situations are to us by continually praying until God blesses us for three reasons, because of our persistence, faithfulness, and our diligence!!! Jesus will fulfill the blessings of the one who continually seeks our God's help for His chosen people who continually,

Pursue righteousness!!!

LUKE 18:1 Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up. 2 He said: “In a certain town there was a judge who neither feared God nor cared what people thought. 3 And there was a widow in that town who kept coming to him with the plea, ‘Grant me justice against my adversary.’ 4 “For some time he refused. But finally he said to himself, ‘Even though I don’t fear God or care what people think, 5 yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will see that she gets justice, so that she won’t eventually come and attack me!’  6 And the Lord said, “Listen to what the unjust judge says. 7 And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? 8 I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?”

... Read moreWhen I first read Luke 18:7, the phrase "Will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night?" really struck me. It's not just a beautiful verse; it's a profound promise that has reshaped my entire prayer life. I used to think of prayer as a one-time request, almost like sending a letter and waiting for a reply. But this verse, following the parable of the persistent widow, highlights something much deeper about God's character and our relationship with Him. First, let's unpack "justice." It's not always about a court case, is it? In our daily lives, justice can mean restoration, fairness, or seeing a wrong made right. It's about God intervening in situations that feel overwhelming or unfair. I remember a time when I was facing a truly disheartening situation at work, feeling overlooked and undervalued. Reading Luke 18:7 reminded me that God sees my struggle and cares about the injustices I face. It gave me the courage to keep praying, not just for a specific outcome, but for God's divine justice to prevail in His perfect timing. Then there's the idea of "his chosen ones." This isn't an exclusive club; it refers to those who have placed their faith in Him, who seek Him diligently. If you're crying out to God, you are among His chosen! This is such an encouraging thought. It means God has a special concern for us, and He is attentive to our cries. It's like being a beloved child whose parent is always ready to listen and act on their behalf. And what about "cry out to him day and night"? Does this mean we literally have to pray 24/7? I don't think so. For me, it speaks to a consistent, heartfelt posture of dependence. It's about bringing our concerns to God regularly, not just in moments of crisis, but integrating prayer into the fabric of our daily lives. It's that ongoing conversation, that steady stream of communication with our Creator. It’s about keeping that channel open, just like the image of a winding river in a dense forest suggests a path through complexity – prayer is our spiritual river, guiding us. Finally, the promise that God will bring about justice "quickly." This doesn't always align with our timeline, does it? My experience has taught me that "quickly" in God's economy means in the perfect moment, according to His divine wisdom. Sometimes the answer comes immediately, sometimes it's a process, but from an eternal perspective, His actions are always swift and decisive. It's about trusting that when God moves, it's always on time and always for our ultimate good. This verse is a powerful reminder to never give up, to persist in faith, knowing that our Heavenly Father is just and will respond to the cries of His children.
