RESTING IN THE PEACE OF GOD!!! ACTS 12

This Scripture is the life experiences of Peter, Peter was unsure if what he was experiencing was real, but Peter obeyed the Angel of God!!! The Angel of The Lord, escorted Peter through several exists out of the prison and when The Angel of God left then Peter came to reality!!! Then Peter knew for sure that God had sent the Angel of God to rescue him, from Herod and from anyone who did not have the best reality for Peter!!!

ACTS 12:5 Peter was kept in prison, but the church was earnestly praying to God for him. 6 The night before Herod was to bring him to trial, Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains, and sentries stood guard at the entrance. 7 Suddenly an angel of the Lord appeared and a light shone in the cell. He struck Peter on the side and woke him up. “Quick, get up!” he said, and the chains fell off Peter’s wrists. 8 Then the angel said to him, “Put on your clothes and sandals.” And Peter did so. “Wrap your cloak around you and follow me,” the angel told him. 9 Peter followed him out of the prison, but he had no idea that what the angel was doing was really happening; he thought he was seeing a vision. 10 They passed the first and second guards and came to the iron gate leading to the city. It opened for them by itself, and they went through it. When they had walked the length of one street, suddenly the angel left him. 11 Then Peter came to himself and said, “Now I know without a doubt that the Lord has sent his angel and rescued me from Herod’s clutches and from everything the Jewish people were hoping would happen.”

... Read moreThe story of Peter's escape from prison in Acts 12 stands as a profound testament to the power of faith and the peace that comes from trusting in God's plan. While Peter was physically bound and guarded, spiritually he was unbound through the prayers of the early church and the intervention of an angel sent by the Lord. This narrative reminds believers that even in situations that seem impossible, divine intervention can bring freedom and peace. One key takeaway from this passage is the role of the church's earnest prayers. It was not merely Peter's faith but also the collective intercession of fellow believers that contributed to his deliverance. This highlights the importance of community and collective support in spiritual warfare and personal trials. Moreover, Peter’s initial disbelief that his rescue was real underscores a common human experience when facing miraculous breakthroughs – sometimes they feel so surreal that we think they must be dreams or visions. Yet, the certainty that follows, when the reality sets in, brings unwavering confidence in God's mighty power and His sovereignty over our lives. The phrase "God holds our future in His mighty hands," as reflected in the article’s imagery, serves as a comforting reminder that all circumstances are under God’s control. Believers are continuously encouraged to rest in this peace, knowing that God protects and guides them through every challenge. For those encountering difficulties, this story encourages steadfast faith and persistent prayer. It inspires an attitude of trust rather than fear, with the understanding that God’s timing and methods are perfect, even when they involve paths we cannot foresee. In daily life, applying the lessons from Acts 12 means embracing moments of uncertainty with confidence in God’s deliverance. It means leaning on community prayer and support, and ultimately resting in the peace that surpasses all understanding. This peace, as experienced by Peter, is available to all who believe and trust in God's providential care.

A handwritten note on a lined notebook page titled 'DISCERNMENT.' It defines discernment as understanding good/evil and thinking like God, lists Bible verses (Psalm 119:125, Acts 17:11), and explains how to receive it through prayer, Scripture, obedience, and removing judgment. It also provides biblical examples from John, Romans, and Hebrews.
Discernment: Learning to Trust God’s Whisper✨
Discernment isn’t about being suspicious or judgmental, it’s about being aligned. It’s the quiet wisdom God gives us to recognize what’s from Him and what isn’t, even when everything looks good on the surface. Sometimes discernment doesn’t come with loud alarms; it comes as a gentle nudge, a pause
