BIRTHDAY PARTY PLANNING TIPS + IDEAS
was always conflicted over the idea of celebrating my birthdays in a party like what if nobody shows up lol 😭😭😭 BUT DIS YEAR WAS MY 21ST SO F IT I DID IT and i have NO RAGRETS 🎀 wanted to make it eventful for my beloved friends to have fun and play games together to win prizes!!! and a lot of them told me it was shuper fun and unique so here is all the planning and events and budgeting behind it 🔥🔥🔥😙😙🎂🎂
🎠 Theme and decor:
Adventure-Time!!! sent out the dress code &&& made sure no one else dressed as THE SAME CHARACTER AS ME ❄️🧊 this show is frfr my therapy and it is iconic hence why it is the theme 🌈 i just wanted it to be colourful and nostalgic/ fun so i made booths where my friends could snap and decorate polaroids with stickers and markers!!! as well as made party hats for them WEEE🎉 THE DECOR WAS A VIBE THOU you can see in the 2nd slide (those tapestries were some of the prizes for my games 🤤🔥)
📍Location:
I booked my friend's condo function room instead of an event space AND TBH UNDERRATED??? (recce the area because every condo function room is gonna be different!! and might competitive to book)
✅ nearer to most of the attendees
✅ cheaper compared to chalet or other places ~$25-$30 total?!!?
✅ def big enough with everything i needed! (projector, table and chairs, couches and games)
❌ con would be that i had to trouble my friend a lot to open the gates for the guests 😭😭

In the 3rd slide you can see the timeline of activities i had for the evening !!! i wanted to plan games with prizes to be won but if you don't feel like u need prizes then u can defo save on money HAHAHA

• other decorations like balloons, polaroids and markers etc [Aliexpress, Popular and Standard Photo @CP1]: $111.12
• cake: $190.2 including buying a seperate 21 candles and delivery cost [Kekkicakery and SKP]
• snacks (brownies anc chips) drinks, utensils and dinner (pizza) [FairPrice shoutout to CDC, Dominos]: about $300 but i lowkey didnt order enough pizza so some guests were dying OOPS HAHAHA
• game logistics like markers and drawing paper [Shopee]: $11.08
• prizes and goodies for guests like adventure time plushies, tapestries and random home decor [Shopee]: $39.91
💸 Total~ about $700+ BUT U CAN DEFINITELY SAVE ON THE CAKE / PRIZES AND GAMES AND U PROB WONT NEED A COSTUME IF UR THEME ISNT SO DRESSY ...💀💀
OVERRALL I REALLY DIDN'T REGRET IT!! extremely heartening to see my friends make time to come down and ofc since we're all in different stages of our lives now, and i'm in ntu so basically long distance 😄, it was really the most refreshing and rejuvenating day that i 100% needed !!! YOLO GUYS
