Homemade sushi! how to…

1. Put rice on the seaweed/nori sheet (non shiney side). A tennis ball size amount of rice is plenty, leave a little empty space on top like in the picture, it’ll help you roll.

2. Flip it over (put the edge what has no rice closest to you) and add what you want on the inside- cucumber, crab stick, avocado for the Cali roll, and a spicy tuna mix for the Spicy tuna roll.

3. Roll it up, it def can be a rough roll, you can tuck the flap as you roll to make it easier, and just roll it until the seam is down on the cutting board. Don’t worry about shape just yet, just get it rolled over.

4. Use the bamboo roll mat to shape it. So press with your thumb and index finger on the sides and then flatten the top. It helps to wrap the bamboo mat in Saran Wrap so the rice doesn’t stick

5. Cut into even pieces and serve! Feel free to get creative with what you put on the inside or top!
