Your intuition has probably tried to protect you more times than you realize.

The problem isn’t that people don’t see the truth.

Most of the time…

They do.

They notice the change in energy.

They see the inconsistency.

They catch the lies.

They recognize the disrespect.

But instead of trusting what they’re seeing…

They start making excuses.

“Maybe I’m overthinking.”

“They’re just having a bad day.”

“They’ll change.”

“They didn’t mean it.”

Sound familiar?

The hardest battle isn’t discovering the truth.

It’s accepting it.

Because accepting the truth often means letting go of someone you loved…

Walking away from something you invested in…

Or admitting you ignored what God was trying to protect you from.

That’s why your heart and your intuition don’t always agree.

Your heart holds on to memories.

Your intuition pays attention to patterns.

Your heart sees potential.

Your intuition recognizes reality.

And eventually…

Reality always wins.

Stop convincing yourself to ignore what keeps repeating.

Stop allowing your emotions to silence your discernment.

And stop giving endless chances to people whose actions keep giving you the same answer.

Trust what people consistently show you.

Protect your peace.

And remember…

God gave you discernment for a reason.

Don’t keep talking yourself out of the very thing that’s trying to protect you.

From personal experience, I've found that my intuition often acts as an early warning system, alerting me to patterns of behavior that my heart wants to overlook because of emotional attachment or hope. At first, it’s common to rationalize or make excuses for why someone’s actions don’t match your expectations — telling yourself they’re having a bad day or that they’ll change. But repeating this cycle can lead to emotional exhaustion and lost opportunities to protect yourself from ongoing harm. I learned that accepting the truth your intuition reveals is one of the hardest yet most freeing steps you can take. Recognizing that your heart focuses on memories and potential, while your intuition observes patterns and reality, helped me understand how to balance emotion with discernment. Instead of silencing that inner voice with hope or denial, embracing it allows you to set healthy boundaries, avoid repeated hurt, and find peace. It's also important to remember that discernment is not about being suspicious; it’s about honoring your own experience and the signals that life gives you consistently. When actions don’t align with words, or when certain behaviors keep repeating, trusting what your intuition shows you helps you prioritize your well-being. Ultimately, protecting your peace may mean making difficult decisions like walking away from relationships or situations that no longer serve your emotional health. But this acceptance opens space for growth, healing, and new connections grounded in truth. The hardest part isn’t discovering the truth — it’s accepting it, but in doing so, you empower yourself to live more authentically and with greater inner peace.
