Part 1! What I am serving at Thanksgiving’s Dinner

The biggest meal of the year and I go all out for my Vegetarian / Vegan / Plant Based friends. Most of this is Vegan while some can easily be changed to Vegan (like swapping out dairy cheese for plant based cheese!)

I love a variety of color too and this is exactly how I want my table to look - bright and colorful and appetizing to enjoy for all. 😇🥰✨

What am I missing? (Besides a turkey)? What should I include that I don’t already? I would love to know your thoughts! 💭

Incorporating dishes like the Apple Gruyere and Caramelized Onion Savory Tart provides a wonderful balance of sweet and savory flavors, pleasing both vegans and omnivores alike. To enhance your Thanksgiving dinner, consider adding hearty mains such as stuffed acorn squash with quinoa and cranberries, or a rich lentil and mushroom loaf which mimics traditional turkey textures. For side dishes, opt for colorful roasted root vegetables like carrots, beets, and sweet potatoes seasoned with rosemary and thyme to bring warmth and seasonal flavors to your table. Including fresh green beans almondine or a kale and cranberry salad can add a refreshing crunch and vibrant colors, making your plate visually appealing. Regarding cheese, swapping out dairy Gruyere for plant-based alternatives allows flexibility for vegan guests without compromising on taste. Additionally, try vegan gravy made from mushrooms or cashews to provide a creamy accompaniment without animal products. Don't forget to include a variety of dips and spreads such as roasted red pepper hummus or herby guacamole for appetizers. These options are crowd-pleasers and great for mingling before the main meal. Desserts can also join the plant-based lineup; pumpkin pie made with coconut milk or a spiced apple crisp with oat topping are fantastic choices that honor tradition and dietary preferences. Finally, presentation matters: arranging your dishes with vibrant colors and textures will invite your guests to enjoy not just the flavors but also the festive atmosphere you’ve created. Engaging your friends and family in sharing suggestions, as the author did, encourages a collaborative and warm holiday spirit. Embracing this inclusive approach to Thanksgiving dining can result in a truly memorable and joyful celebration for everyone involved.
