“Regaining My Spark” ✨
I’ve been seeing this post go around in different variations and I wanted to share my story because truly I am still in the thick of it.
Honestly, rediscovering my spark since having a child has been a huge challenge for me. Mostly because I didn’t just lose a “spark”, I’ve also “lost” family members, friends, mindsets and the certainty I felt I use to have. It’s hard to find who you are when who you were will NEVER exist again…
A lot of my pain stems from the lack of acknowledgement empathy or respect I have received since birthing my son. It’s the constant judgement because I don’t want to raise him in any way that I have seen or experienced. It’s the switch up of almost everyone around me with expectations to have access to me and my family.
So, I am fighting the outside world to protect and keep the curses off my jit while fighting a physical fight with my organs. A mental fight with my old and new selves. A spiritual fight between my higher self, who knows the assignment that is greater than ever and my inner teen, who is screaming for instant gratification. A financial fight with the money that’s on the way and the money that’s not there. Yet I am expected to work, answer phones calls, remain sane and be “back to normal” in 8 weeks?! My answer to that is F*CK YOU! 😂 I will take as long as I need to “get my spark back” and by that time, I’ll be a whole new flame. 🔥
This is my public extension of love and grace to myself and all mothers growing the same things as me. We all know that new flame is always better than the old ones. 😏 Let’s focus on now and future vs. what used to be. I love me. I love you.💋
