Living in Minnesota, I’ve witnessed firsthand how local communities intertwine regional issues with national political discourse. Minnesota’s history with civil rights movements and its recent experiences with policing and racial justice have galvanized many to take part in meaningful change. Participating in community meetings, rallies, and voter registration drives has shown me that understanding and addressing the unique challenges of Black communities is crucial. Moreover, political activism linked to hashtags like #kamala highlights the significance of representation and policy-making. People are not only following political leaders but also assessing how such figures influence systemic change. On the other side, movements like #maga present an important counter-narrative in American politics, and understanding these perspectives helps foster productive conversations. Engagement at all levels—from local neighborhood initiatives to national campaigns—strengthens collective efforts. It encourages accountability and empowers communities to ensure their voices are heard. Sharing experiences, whether in person or on social platforms, contributes greatly to the sense of unity and purpose that drives progress. Ultimately, "What are WE doing?" is more than a question; it’s a call to action and reflection. It reminds us to evaluate our roles, encourage dialogue, and participate actively in shaping a future that promotes equity, inclusion, and justice for all.
