The combination of mini chocolate chips, M&Ms, chopped Oreos, and Christmas sprinkles creates a fun, colorful, and delicious cookie that's chewy and full of texture. The addition of shortening alongside butter in the recipe helps achieve that perfect chewy consistency, making these cookies irresistible. A key tip for baking these cookies is ensuring you preheat your oven to 350°F and line your trays properly to prevent sticking and promote even baking. Using 2-tablespoon scoops spaced about 2 inches apart allows each cookie to spread just enough without merging. The unique mixture of ingredients means each bite offers a delightful surprise of flavors and textures — from the crispy Oreos to the melty chocolate bits and the sweet crunch of candy pieces and sprinkles. These cookies are great for holiday cookie exchanges, gifting, or simply enjoying with a cup of hot cocoa or milk. For an extra special touch, try adding a sprinkle of sea salt on top before baking to enhance the sweetness and complement the chocolate. Additionally, storing these cookies in an airtight container helps maintain their freshness and chewiness. Incorporating Christmas sprinkles adds a festive cheer that’s visually appealing and perfect for kids or holiday parties. Overall, these Christmas Chaos Cookies are simple to make, fun to customize, and spread holiday joy with every bite.
