Diaries of a Homebody Living Alone
Can you believe it’s October already? 🍂I feel like this year is flying by. I’m all in lol. I did a reset & refresh in my bedroom! New sheets and a new duvet always makes me feel like a new person. Check my last post for a closer look at my refreshed bedroom! 💕And of course it’s not a reset without fresh flowers! At this point, I cannot be without fresh flowers in my little apartment lol. Even my tiny bathroom gets a lil mini bouquet of fresh flowers! Oh and I’ve been cooking, a lot. Seafood pasta, my got to fried wings and a Caesar salad, the yummiest Italian sandwich on fresh toasted sourdough, pork bulgogi w/ a fried egg and bok choy. Every time I get a taste for something, I go the store, buy the ingredients and make it. And it comes out *chefs kiss* every time. I’m excited for l the scary witchy movies I’m going to invite my boyfriend over to watch. I’m planning a Twilight night and Harry Potter weekend. Lol I even bought those floating candles to hang on the ceiling! They were on sale on TikTok and I’ve always wanted them as decor to host a Harry Potter dinner and movie! Anyways, I’m looking forward to the cooler nights and sleeping with my window open and all the cozy vibes. As always, I’m happy you are here! 🧡 Until next time! 🫶🏾🤞🏾 #girlhome #lemon8challenge #apartmenttherapy #girldinner #cozyvibes
Living alone offers a unique opportunity to tailor your living space exactly to your taste, and it’s clear from the daily homebody diaries that creating a comforting environment goes hand in hand with personal well-being. Refreshing a bedroom with new sheets and a cozy duvet isn't just a decor choice—it resets your mood and invites relaxation. Adding fresh flowers throughout the apartment, even in small spaces like the bathroom, brings nature indoors and enhances the ambiance with life and color. Cooking becomes an art form and a source of joy when you buy fresh ingredients to satisfy cravings. From seafood pasta to crispy fried wings made in a deep fryer, or savory Italian sandwiches on toasted sourdough, the diversity of home-cooked meals reflects a true love for culinary creativity. Including dishes like pork bulgogi with bok choy and a fried egg shows a fusion of comforting textures and flavors, while also embracing nutritional balance. Seasonal transitions are marked by cozy rituals—sleeping with the window open to enjoy cooler nights, decorating with floating candles inspired by beloved Harry Potter themes, or planning thematic movie nights such as Twilight or witchy horror films. These rituals not only create anticipation but foster connection when inviting friends or partners over. Living alone doesn't mean solitude has to feel lonely. By carefully cultivating a cozy, vibrant living space and engaging in passionate hobbies like cooking and decorating, homebodies craft a rich, fulfilling lifestyle. For anyone navigating life solo, this approach provides inspiration to transform everyday moments into special experiences, making a house feel like a true sanctuary filled with warmth and personality.
