A girl and her nightstand.
How can I describe my life to you? I think a lot, listen to music. I’m very fond of flowers. Fresh flowers just completely upgrade a space. My landlord may be selling his house so I am currently looking at apartments…. And houseboats lol?? I have always dreamed of living on a boat. And I love a good side quest for the plot lol. I think it would be so exciting and cool! Like I’m young and free, and have no kids! So that’s what I’ve been up to lol. Romanticizing the idea of living in a boat. I know I could make it so dreamy. Ugh! 😩 Do you know anyone that lives on a boat? What do you guys think? Am I doing too much? We only get one life! #romanticizinghome #Lemon8Diary #homebody #cozyvibes #apartmentinspo
I’ve always believed that your surroundings shape your mindset, and there’s something magical about personalizing a small space like a nightstand. For me, fresh flowers breathe life into the room and instantly lift my mood—lilies have that special calming effect I adore. My nightstand isn’t just a place for books and a remote; it’s where I keep little comforts like cuticle oil or a lip mask to start my day feeling pampered. These small rituals create a sense of calm in the chaos. Living on a boat has been a whimsical dream for years. The idea of waking up surrounded by water, feeling the gentle sway beneath my feet, and embracing a minimalist yet adventurous lifestyle is intoxicating. Of course, it’s not without challenges: limited space means you need to be intentional about what you keep—something my cozy, curated nightstand has already taught me. Plus, living on a boat demands a love for unpredictability and a sense of freedom, which fits perfectly with my young, child-free chapter. For anyone considering this life, I’d say start small with how you live your current space. Make it cozy, add elements that reflect you—like biweekly fresh flowers or a catch-all bowl for daily essentials—to get comfortable with simplicity and personalization. It’s also important to connect with others who actually live aboard boats; their insights can help turn your romantic vision into a balanced reality. If you’re dreaming like me, remember: it’s okay to romanticize your life’s path because those dreams give fuel to your present. We only get one life, so why not make it dreamy and uniquely yours?

Where are your sheets and bed frame from love?!
