Rating My Top 4 Eye Serums
My top 4 eye serums really should all be #1 ’s based off the results I’ve had from each. This, of course is just my opinion but as a 42 year old with puffy bags under my eyes, fine noticeable lines and very minimal dark circles, I had to find whats worked for me!!
Coming is 1st is my ride or die @GoodMolecules Yerba Mate Wake Up Eye Gel 💵 Price:$6.00. I usually layer this on first specifically for the depuffing. It has caffeine, peptides and 3 forms of hyaluronic acid to plump fine lines and reduce puffiness! And for the price 👏🏻😍
2nd is @Numbuzin NAD + Retinol 💵 Price: price varies but cheapest on TikTok Shop. This is more of a cream but baby when I tell you that the brightening effect is real, please believe me. It’s made with ceramide pearl powder that leaves the under eye glowing. Plus the Nad+ Retinol, Niacinamide, 50 peptides, ceramides and Adenosine works together over time to reduce the look of fine lines and wrinkles! Consistency is the key 🔑
3rd is the @Abib Retinal Eye Serum with lifting Roller Ball 💵 Price: $15-$24 depending on where you get it. This is a light weight serum that’s enriched with caffeine that helps with puffiness and dark circles and a Retinal/Bakuchiol mix that helps soften the look of fine lines. Love the roller ball and it helps so much in the morning.
4th is @Biossance Brightening Eye Serum 💵 Price:$44. It’s definitely one of the most expensive but worth every penny in my opinion. The 360 roller ball rotates so you can get the hard to reach places around your eye. It has 5% Niacinamide to brighten, peptides and caffeine to depuff and cool. I typically use this one in the morning and my under eye feels so good!
What are your top picks??
After sharing my absolute favorite eye serums, I wanted to dive a little deeper into how I get the most out of them and some other 'simple beauty' hacks I swear by for keeping those delicate under-eye areas looking their best. It's not just about finding the right product; it's also about how you use it and what else you do to support your skin! First off, application truly makes a difference. When you're using an eye serum – whether it's one of the fantastic ones I ranked or your own go-to – remember that the skin around your eyes is super thin and delicate. I always use my ring finger because it naturally applies the least pressure. I gently tap a tiny pea-sized amount along my orbital bone, starting from the inner corner and moving outwards, never dragging or pulling. This gentle tapping motion helps stimulate circulation and ensures the serum absorbs without stressing the skin. I usually apply my depuffing serums, like the Good Molecules Yerba Mate Wake Up Eye Gel, first in the morning, letting it sink in before layering on a treatment for fine lines. Speaking of fine lines, consistent use of powerful ingredients, which I highlighted in products like Numbuzin and Abib, is crucial. For instance, the retinol/retinal in these serums works to boost collagen production, which over time, helps to smooth out those pesky fine lines and wrinkles. And hyaluronic acid, found in many serums, acts like a magnet for moisture, plumping up the skin and temporarily minimizing the appearance of lines. The caffeine in some, like my top-rated Good Molecules, is a vasoconstrictor, meaning it helps to temporarily tighten blood vessels and reduce puffiness, giving you that 'wake up' effect. Beyond the serums themselves, a few daily habits have significantly impacted my under-eye area. Hydration is key – drinking plenty of water helps keep skin plump from within. Getting enough quality sleep also makes a huge difference; less sleep means more puffiness and often accentuates dark circles. I also make sure to use a broad-spectrum SPF every single day, even when it's cloudy, because sun damage is a major culprit for premature fine lines. And when it comes to makeup removal, I'm extra gentle, using a soft cleanser and never rubbing harshly. Sometimes, when I need an extra boost, especially on mornings when I feel particularly puffy, I'll pop my Abib Retinal Eye Serum with its lifting roller ball into the fridge for a few minutes before applying. The cool roller combined with the serum is incredibly soothing and helps to reduce swelling. It's a simple trick that feels so luxurious! Choosing the right eye serum for fine lines and dark circles doesn't have to be overly complicated. Look for ingredients like peptides, hyaluronic acid, caffeine, niacinamide, and retinoids. These are the powerhouses that deliver results. The eye serums I showcased, from the affordable Good Molecules to the luxurious Biossance, all contain variations of these effective ingredients. Remember, your eye area deserves a little extra love, and with these simple practices and effective products, you can definitely see improvements. What are your favorite simple tips for eye care?
