As food splatters and odors accumulate in your microwave, the buildup can lead to unpleasant smells and potential health hazards. Regular cleaning can help prevent the growth of bacteria and keep your appliance functioning optimally. For an even deeper clean, consider rotating cleaning methods. After steaming, use a baking soda paste for tougher stains, or a lemon juice and water solution to naturally deodorize your microwave. Keeping a consistent cleaning schedule—perhaps weekly—can ensure that your microwave remains clean and efficient, making meal prep easier and your kitchen healthier. I use a 4 cup Pyrex measuring cup to safely remove it from the microwave. I also use lemon juice in place of the vinegar. It smells better.
