In addition to sorting your laundry into whites, darks, and delicates, consider using a stain remover before washing to tackle any difficult spots. Remember, different fabrics require different care; always check the labels for washing instructions. New wash technologies, like eco-friendly detergents and cold water settings, save energy while still cleaning effectively. For those delicate items, always use a mesh bag during the wash cycle to prevent snags and tangles. Once your laundry is done, try air-drying clothes to preserve their quality, especially for items prone to shrinking or losing shape. When folding, consider using proper techniques to minimize wrinkles and maximize storage efficiency. Lastly, don’t forget to set a regular washing schedule; staying on top of laundry can reduce the stress of last-minute washes. By implementing these tips, you can transform the laundry process into a streamlined habit, keeping your clothes fresh and ready to wear at all times!

I always wash in cold. Unless someone can finally name a benefit to warm water, I just find it makes my clothes stink depending on the water quality (if a well system my clothes will smell like sulfur through multiple washes), it makes my socks less stretchy over time, and it’s harder on the environment than cold water
