her hair was a little wild, her smile a little croo
She's a strange one,
the type of wind that
blows in,
knocking over vases full
of roses; and
leaving holes in shower curtains.
She never quite
stays.
Not a kitten, not a back alley cat,
but a Jaguar on the prowl
who dwells above the trees
of knowledge.
She's here,
on my couch, eyes lit
like fire and gemstone.
"So...poet," she whispers,
"How many books have you
sold this year?"
I meet her gaze,
and whip out a flask full
of cheap wine and bad decisions
"Enough."
I whispered back.
She spreads her legs
open, and caresses the kneecap,
Flicking her hair back and forth
like a dragon,
She lets out a hiss.
The room goes dark.
And the rest is poetry.
