dyed my hair red!! 🥰🤩🥰
some tips if you’ve never done red hair but you want it:
1. it runs when wet & never stops
2. you can’t sleep with wet hair & it will stain clothes if your hair is damp
3. prepare for everything to be stained
4. it washes out faster than most hair colors so you have to redye it or touch it up frequently. color depositing conditioner is recommended!
5. it’s super cute & worth the struggle imo!

Beyond just dyeing your whole head, exploring different cherry red hair styles can really elevate your look! I've been so inspired by all the stunning variations out there – it's not just one shade fits all. For those of us with long, vibrant red hair, a full, rich cherry red creates such a dramatic effect, especially when it catches the light. But if you have short hair, don't think cherry red isn't for you! A bold cherry red bob or a short, choppy cut can look incredibly chic and edgy. It really makes a statement and highlights your features. I've seen some amazing mirror selfies of people rocking short cherry red hair, and it's definitely a 'goal' look for many. And who says red has to be the only color? If you're thinking about blonde and red hair ideas, there are some fantastic ways to combine them for a unique 'new hair design.' Imagine a beautiful cherry red balayage or ombré, transitioning from your natural dark roots or even a blonde base. Or you could go for subtle cherry red peekaboo highlights underneath a darker top layer for a pop of color that's only visible when you move. I even love the idea of a 'money piece' – those front sections of hair dyed cherry red – to frame your face with a bold splash of color. These 'hair dye patterns' are perfect if you want to experiment without committing to a full head of red right away, and they often require less frequent touch-ups than a global color. If you're aiming for that 'cherry red hair baddie' vibe, it's all about saturation and shine! This look often involves a super glossy, almost lacquered finish, paired with sleek styling or voluminous waves. Think deep, rich cherry tones that practically glow. Achieving this look might mean playing with color-depositing masks regularly to keep the vibrancy high. I've seen friends rock this with confidence, often paired with bold makeup and outfits that truly make them stand out. It’s about owning that vibrant energy! Remember, no matter what style you choose, keeping your cherry red hair vibrant is key. Regular conditioning treatments, cold washes, and color-safe products are your best friends. And from my own experience, those 'touch up some spots' moments are totally normal to keep that fresh salon feel. It's an ongoing journey, but a fun and rewarding one for sure!
